“About 1 km north of Jakarta Kota, lies the historic harbor of Sunda Kelapa, the most important in the Dutch empire. Although the bulk of the sea traffic docks at Tanjung Priok these days, a few of the smaller vessels, particularly some picturesque wooden schooners, still can in at this eight-hundred-year-old port. When visit Sunda Kelapa, you might also want to consider taking small boat tour around the port area, which provide you with alternative angles for photos and give you different perspective of th old port area. – Photographed by AIA SP Legacy Singapore”
