Activity  : Culture Immersion, Voluntourism
Location : Bandung, West Java
Trip        : October 2018

“Going on holiday, doesn’t mean only for lazing on a beach or touring sights. AIA Singapore SP Legacy District wants a different experience where they spent their little time to visit Bandung for holiday and also volunteering in local communities. They get to bless the underprivileged by a half-day activity in local orphanage. Although language was a barrier, with sign language and gesturing, they made all possible. Travel to spread the love and share the happiness. – Photographed by AIA Singapore Sp Legacy District”

Activity  : Fields Tour, Culinary
Location : Bali
Trip        : March 2016

“For those who hasn’t been to Bali before, allow us to spread some love. Bali is totally an island like no other, and it has has been enchanting visitor for centuries. A combination of rich cultural traditions and spectacular panoramas, full of culture and yet so modern. The strong cultural identity of Bali is based on a combination of closely related elements such as the unique religion, the language, the castes, the community life, the land cultivation and the expression of its art. How about the food? There’s more than you can ever imagine. We guarantee you’ll have a tough time going on a diet to Bali.

And this group of young boys, they just fell under the irresistible spell of Bali the Paradise on Earth. They be sure to stay in the private Villa, stick around at the daybeds before few lazy laps on their own swimming pool or walk few metres to the beach. They also treat themselves to great food from the simply street food to sink into a sofa at the Rock Bar off the ocean to enjoy the tropical vibes and beats. And with just one day, it’s definitely not to miss to make sure pay a visit to Ubud, paddle trough its beautiful rice terraces, be more adventurous with white water rafting, shopping at the local art market and shops along Monkey Forest Road, and do a relaxing massage. – Photographed by Cedric Lim”

Activity  : Team Building & Culinary
Location : Batam Island
Trip        : May 2015

“Batam is only one of more than 2,400 islands that make up the Riau Islands province, stretching from Sumatra, rounding north east all the way to the Anambas islands in the South China Sea.  Today it is the third busiest entry port to Indonesia next to Bali and Jakarta.  Lying less than one hour by fast ferry from Singapore, Batam Island promise a completely contrasting environment from busy metropolitan Singapore. And it appeals to many people especially Singaporeans; in various ways .. Cheap, Cheap. Cheap shopping, cheap royal spa and massage, cheap fresh seafood, cheap kueh lapis, and many more cheap cheap.

The island of Batam itself is connected by six large modern bridges- known as the Barelang bridges - to the islands of Rempang and Galang to its south.    We have the opportunity recently to accommodate Floline Hydraulics for their weekend company retreat. It promise a team bonding revolves around city tour, duty-free shopping, team building & sport activities, and of course reasonably priced food! The team returned well-rested and rejuvenated and we thank them for the expectation to us. We are excited to welcome you again in other part of Indonesia soon – Photographed by: Chiok Ching Su”

Location    : Jakarta
Trip           : May 2012

“Here’s a series of photos taken in Jakarta for 16 hours before Desmond, Wee Yang and Bao Lin stash themselves away in a private island for their first ever Discovery Scuba Dive Trip. Three things that they love to experience in this Metropolitan City: The adventure, the humbling and the delicious. All they wanted were more local tours and variety of local foods.

With new friends, they had so much fun exploring the city with local bus and motorbike. They chatted all day talking about food and comparing each food they ordered. We noticed the three kept melting during their day tour to Bank Museum and Fatahillah Square. They CAN’T stand the heat, but they CAN stand the local hot food! Hey-ho! We couldn’t believe to find a fellow foodie as crazy as them. They got us amaze especially when the three happily clearing the super hot chilli for Bakso (Meat Ball Soup). Very cool!

Enjoy their series of Jakarta City Tour photos and apologise for some blurry because we struggled to hold the camera while we had so much laugh and shaking like how they shaking Jakarta. Hee! – Photographed by Desmond Cheng & Neo Wee Yang”

“Take a mouthwatering tour through the joys and virtues of the country’s cuisine. Visit the traditional market getting advice in selecting ingredients and obtaining secret recipes from local chef on how to prepare Surabaya signature dish, Ayam Penyet (Smashed Fried Chicken). Travelled with Angkot (City transport) and spent the journey squashed into a small seat, wedged between bound chickens and bags of rice is kind of journey that brings us closer to ordinary Indonesians. – Photographed by Cedric Lim, Janis Leong & Enriko M Sunanda”

“Jogjakarta is a province with status as special region of the Republic Indonesia.  Surrounded by dense forests, lush paddy fields and picturesque mountains, Jogjakarta never fails to be a fascinating city to explore. Nicholas Tan flew miles away from Singapore just to clearly experience rich culture and savour a traditional way of life. Rich in history and culture dates back to the eighteenth century, and its magnificent palaces, temples and shrines are testament to that. What about the local markets and avenues milling with people and picking up art and craft lovingly created by Javanese craftsmen and painters? Come and experience it yourself! – Photographed by Nicholas Tan”
